We recently had a big old discussion in the office around creativity vs imagination. One of the guys said he had a good imagination but didn’t think he was creative, and I was intrigued by this. I didn’t really think one could exist without the other. This TED Talk seems kinda relevant to that.
I always find it interesting to think about body language – not only in how others project themselves, but also how it makes you feel about yourself and your situation. It’s something I try to keep in mind when I’m in confronting or challenging situations at work.
Being an insufferable stress-head, I found this one very interesting!
The good news is that the scientists who’ve been studying motivation have given us this new approach. It’s built much more around intrinsic motivation. Around the desire to do things because they matter,because we like it, they’re interesting, or part of something important.
